A first consultation is a conversation, not a sales pitch. You tell us what you would like to study and where you are starting from, and an advisor tells you honestly what your options are. It is free, and you are under no obligation to apply through us afterwards.

What Happens

What Happens in Your Consultation

Every first consultation covers the same ground, in whatever order suits the conversation.

  1. Your goals

    What you would like to study, why now, and where you hope the degree will take you. A rough idea is enough.

  2. Your background

    What you have studied before, however long ago, and the work and life experience that could support an application.

  3. Your week

    Work, family and travel. We need to know which days and hours you have, so we only suggest courses that fit.

  4. Your options

    The routes open to you, such as direct entry, a foundation year or a top-up, and which intake is realistic.

  5. Your next steps

    If you want to go ahead, what to gather and what happens next. If you would rather think it over, that is fine too.

Be Prepared

Before Your Consultation

You do not need to bring anything to a first conversation, but these help us give you a clearer answer.

Useful to Bring

  • Photo ID, such as a passport
  • Any qualification certificates, or a list of what you studied and when
  • An up-to-date CV, or a rough work history
  • A share code or Home Office letter, if your immigration status applies
  • A note of the days and times you could study

What you leave with

A clear view of the routes open to you, a short list of courses worth considering, and the next steps if you decide to go ahead. If we do not think a course is right for you, or that we are the right service for your situation, we will tell you.

Three Ways to Speak to an Advisor

Choose whichever suits you. The advice is the same, and so is the advisor you work with afterwards.

In person

Come to our office on the High Road in Wood Green, North London, or on the Coventry Road in Birmingham. Plenty of people would rather go through their certificates across a desk. Please call or message first so an advisor is free to see you.

By phone

Call 0752 0653 470. Phone consultations suit people who cannot easily travel to an office.

On WhatsApp

Message us on the same number. WhatsApp is useful for quick questions, and for sending photos of certificates or documents for your advisor to look at.

What people ask before booking.

Yes. Students pay us nothing, for the consultation or anything after it. We are paid a recruitment fee by the university or college a student enrols with, and we explain that at the start.
No. A consultation commits you to nothing. Some people go ahead with us, some apply on their own, and some decide to wait. All of those are fine.
That is a common starting point. We talk about your work, your interests and where you would like to be in a few years, then suggest subjects worth looking at.
Yes. You are welcome to bring a partner, relative or friend to an in-person consultation.
Yes. We offer consultations by phone and WhatsApp for anyone who cannot easily come to Wood Green or Birmingham, including students in Manchester, Leicester and Bradford.
